NRM Communication Officers Workshop - Longreach

summary:
Landcare Queensland & Feral Arts make PlaceStories presentation in Longreach.

On Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 March Chloe Tanner and Emma Trigg from Landcare Queensland, along with Kevin Guy from Feral Arts attended a two-day workshop in Longreach, western Queensland of Communication Officers from the NRM Regional Groups Collective.

The NRM Regional Groups Collective was formed in 2002 by the Chairs of the Regional Natural Resource Management Bodies throughout Queensland. Its aim is to improve the state-wide delivery of regional outcomes in partnership with all stakeholders and to act as a leadership body through the promotion of a long-term holistic approach to natural resource management. All fifteen Regional NRM Bodies in Queensland are represented on the Collective. The Communication Officers were meeting to discuss communication strategies for the coming years.

In the workshop presentation Emma spoke about the need to work together and share stories and experiences. Kevin outlined how the PlaceStories system works and Chloe gave a presentation on the roll out of Landcare PlaceStories in Queensland. The presentation was well received and we look forward to seeing what eventuates from the workshop.
