Feral Arts is one of Australia's leading community cultural development companies. We are innovators in the field of digital storytelling, community mapping and communications.

We specialise in partnerships in the Arts, Community, Education, Environment and Health sectors, creating new ways to communicate and collaborate through stories. We build world-leading community-focused digital storytelling software systems and explore the potential of emerging digital technologies in finding creative solutions to cultural and social challenges.

Storytelling in the Public Interest aims to maximise the benefits of digital storytelling for both storytellers and the broader community. It combines our work in three areas:
  • innovative digital storytelling projects with our partners and clients in the Arts, Community, Education, Environment and Health sectors
  • creation of PlaceStories a world-leading community focused digital storytelling software system
  • large-scale collaborative arts projects and campaigns aimed at activating and connecting people around shared goals and objectives.
PlaceStories is a map-based digital storytelling software system being developed by Feral Arts. The system supports a wide range of community-focused communications and storytelling projects in Australia & the U.S. Members can create and publish their own stories directly to the PlaceStories map. They can create their own PlaceStories projects or join one of the growing number of public storytelling communities.

Our Community sector work focuses on the storytelling, communication and collaboration needs of a wide range of community-focused agencies and organisations.
